
ToDay is the Birthday of
Fair and cold, wind East.
Worked this morning digging up some of the bushes around the camp.
Thel and I took a ride down to Bourne and got a paper.
After I got back I cut off a lot of scrub that had grown into the driveway.
Too cold to fish, too cold yesterday.
Couldn’t find my brush scythe, think I must have loaned it to Archie.
A few of the trees have started to turn red.
Charlie Frazer has just turned up in Australia, he has been in Honalulu for over a year.

I think that Jesse was looking for his “brush scythe”. I remember some of the old timers using brush scythes in the scrub along side the cranberry bogs back on the Cape where I grew up. As always, I’m really enjoying the journal! Fred Dunford
