88th day – 278 days follow

42        Fair

This morning Mrs. Hornblower and I went sea clamming this morning, the wind was north so the flats didn’t drain off worth a damn so we got only about a dozen middle sized ones. I found the collar of a May West life jacket.

Wheeled rubbish all afternoon.

Wind flew like time today and made it rather disagreeable.

Mrs. H shot at a crow, didn’t get him.

The wind was so strong it was almost impossible to face it on account of flying sand.

When Mrs. H and I went down on the beach we saw a flock of mourning doves in front of Manter’s Point.
