Fair + Cool
Went up on the hill with George after I cleaned and cut up the salmon.
Ate dinner with Eleanor and Marie. Geo. went to a clam bake.
Came home in the afternoon and was here when Dave’s family arrived. Bob and Gretchen came with them.
Then Ed. Swift and Grace came with their new son, and were here when Thel arrived. They All left about 5 P.M.
I see that the hotel has dug out a lot of sand from behind their help’s dormitory.
The horse ran thru Percy Finney’s garden this afternoon.
Saw Richard Greenwood when I was up on the hill tonight.
Did some shooting with the bow and did fairly well.
I heard John Davis has had to have his other leg amputated. Poor old John. He sure didn’t deserve such a streak of tough luck.

The background painting is of the back Chiltonville Church painted from the cemetery, done by Victoria Engstrom. I’ll try to do more views of Chiltonville in the background…
