Fair + Cool
Thel took George and I up to Valley’s road at 7 A.M. and we went into the woods on the north side and found the tracks of two does. We trailed them across the tar highway and over the hills thru the scrub oaks to a big hollow.
Up on a knoll we jumped them from their beds, also another doe and a buck that had bedded down with them. We chased the darn cusses around in circles for an hour and had to give it up.
Then we went up to the lookout road, and over to Symington’s, then back over another road, back to the Manomet State road, took stands here on different runways. Geo. got a shot there and missed.
Ski and Bud went up to see Al Holman about putting in a cellar for the house they hope to build.
