Worked all day in the flower gardens. The cherry trees are in full bloom now.
Mrs. Sampson and Mrs. Hatch were up on the hill to look at the garden.
Thel and Eleanor came for me at 4:30 P.M. and I rode up to Eleanor’s and had supper with them.
After supper Geo. and I went over to the Sand Bank Shell Site and we did some digging.
We found some slews of all kinds of flakes, and Geo. found a large shaped out blank of sandstone. It is a fine specimen, quite out of the ordinary run of the mill. I found a real fine knife of red-brown quartzite, fine. And one small piece of pottery.
Just before we quit we struck what appears to be a large sized pit. So we covered it up, and will have something interesting to start in on next time.
When Thel came back from her club supper, she had got quite a thrill. The mayor of Brockton helped her change a tire up in the Whitman woods.
Bud and Ski were here when I got home from from Geo.’s.
