(Arrowheads)
Fair + Warm
This has been a fine day.
This morning I rode my wheel up to Bubbins’s plowing and I hunted that and found nothing. From there I rode to the Browne Site and dug till noon.
I found four triangular white quartz arrowheads all good, three white quartz bits and one large felsite tip. I dug out one ash pit about two inchest of grey ash mixed with shell and full of flakes, under that three inches of bright orange red color, then six inches of muted grey, orange red, ash, charcoal, bone flakes and shell. This spot was about a three feet circle.
I hid my shovel, hoe, and trowel. Hope no one finds them.
From there I went up to Eleanor’s and had dinner and listened to the baseball broadcast till Thel came out of Johnson’s.
When we got home Bud and Ski were here.
We went out to the Homestead for supper and took a ride around Duxbury.
