176th day- 190 days follow

Rain + Hot

The young hummingbirds have left their nest.

Jubbie and I worked cleaning up the front drive.

After supper I got the screen doors out of the cellar and painted the screen parts.

I hope the Joe Lewis fight comes on tonight.  It was postponed last night on account of rain.  It is raining here now, and I hope it isn’t in New York.

I am listening to the Republican Convention.  Dewey has just been nominated, but Stasson seems to be the choice of the gallery from the demonstration when he spoke in favor of Dewey.

Stopped a few minutes to look at a television in Sherman’s window.
