Fair + Cooler

Saw Mr. H, Mrs. H., Geo. Crowell, Mary G. and Sally on the hill this A.M

After dinner I went up to Browne dig.  Dug and all I got was one tiny chard of pottery.  While I 

was on my knees hoeing there was a steady vibrating rattle that finally drew my attention. And I looked into the bushes and there was a big snake beating it off.  I didn’t get a good look at him but it probably was a big milk snake, as they can create a rattle with their tail on dry leaves.

After supper Thel and I went to the M.A.S. supper, which was fine.  I and Willard Whiting each gave a talk..
