187th day- 179 days follow

Fair and Cool, Thunder shower

At 2:30 the boss called me up to come up on the hill.  Harry came down after me and I went up and found that the kitchen sink drain was all stopped up.  I had it free in about half an hour.

Then we went down to the green and bowled till day light.

George came and got me about 9 A.M. and we all went to town to see the parade. It was good.

After dinner we all went down to the waterfront to watch the jimchanter [gymkhana]. Ski won second prize in the egg and spoon race.

We came back to Johnson’s at 4:15 P.M. and got Thel.  She has a bad hot grease burn on her left arm.

We got home just as a light thunder shower struck.

Ski had just got home.

Thel and I and the Hathaways went over to Stephen’s Field to see the fireworks, and they had to set them off in a pouring thunder storm.  There must have been several thousand people got soaked. Bud and Ski came home with us.
