215th day- 151 days follow

Fair + Hot

Spent all day spraying gutters and ivy on the front drive.

After work tonight I stopped at Pick’s and saw Howard Engstrom’s two girls.  They had just stopped over till tomorrow when they start for Maine.

George came down after supper and we took a walk down to the mouth of the river.  There was only one boat out fishing, so we walked along the shore and looked the boats over.

George paid back the loan I made him in May.

After George took the bus for home, I took a walk down to the beach off Manter’s Point and watched Percy Finney casting for bass.  He didn’t get a strike.  We met two other fellows going down as we came home.

Some kids were playing ball in Bert Griffin’s field.
