219th day- 147 days follow

Partly Cloudy. Warm

We worked all day on the gutters, a tough hot job.

After supper I took my 22 and hid in the grass behind Jennie Chandler’s fence.  After about an hour I saw the big woodchuck in the cut off oats. I took a shot at it and am sure I clipped him with the first + second shots, but it kept on till it disappeared in the oats.

Ski took a ride on her horse tonight.

May said that Gertie is going to get married on the 12th of this month.  I hope she will  be very happy.

It is raining out now.

Arthur Sirrico told me he heard that Howard Morton died this morning.
