238th day- 128 days follow

Hot + Hotter

This had been a scorcher.  I put Sanesen [?] on the bowling green.

Some of the lumber came for Ski’s house.  I expect that the carpenter will start on it tomorrow.

Bobbie, Gretchen, and their baby came up this evening before dark.  The baby stroke the horse.

Claire Driscoll came down with some glasses looking for a blue heron in the ditch.  It flew up and came right up across the lower end of the garden, about 10 feet high.

I found a flycatcher nest in the pitch pine in the horseshoe lawn.

Elisabeth Finney is here at Percy’s with her kids.

I saw Geo. Whiting over at Percy Finney’s tonight.

Bud and Ski are here.
