278th day- 88 days follow

Fair + Cool

This morning I found nobody on the hill.

Mowed and raked lawns all morning.

Lottie Whiting called me up at noon and said Bill is back in bed with a black toe, the circulation has stopped.  After dinner I picked a bushel of wild grapes at the foot drive and a bushel of cultivated ones in the hollow, heard the end of the ball game.

When I got home Eleanor and the kids were here.  We took them home, and we picked up the grapes.

After supper Thel and I took a ride over to see Bill and Lottie.  He is up and bed and doesn’t realize he may have to lose his toe.

Charlie Sherman came in while we were there.  He is rearranging Bill’s arrowheads in some new cabinets he built for Bill.

Bud and Ski were here all evening.

Jennie Chandler has traded her house off to Bob Briggs for her house.

At noon I stopped in to see Victoria and David.  He has a bad cold.
