Fair + Warm

Geo. Crowell came up on the hill this A.M. to look at Harry’s stove that was in the horse stall.  Later one of the C.C.C. Co. trucks came up and got it.

Took a little time off this afternoon + went up to the site, dug in the plowing and found one large deep hearth. Got one dandy grooved club at the south edge. Several times I have found grooved club or hammer stones associated with hearths, which might suggest that it could easily have [been] used by squaws. Found the point of an antler arrowhead and an eagle claw, and part of a beaver tooth, and the point of a knife.

Met Thel at the store when I stopped to get some tobacco.

Ski came home early tonight.

They have the windows and doors in Ski’s house.
