340th day- 26 days follow

Fair + Warm

This has been one of the finest Dec. days on record.

George picked me up at 9:30 A.M.  We took a ride up to Greenwoods, looking for deer tracks. Found the tracks of not more than one there.

Then we came back to this side of John Davis’s, went into Stone’s side, up over the hills to the old Lapham farm, along the east side of it to the ridge across from Dick Greenwood’s, then across the top of the hill to the Lookout Road.

Saw a partridge in Stone’s.

We took a walk up the Lookout Rd. and we really found deer tracks here.

Saw a partridge in here.

Came back to Geo. mother’s and got the kids.

I took a walk up on the hill and Mr. H., Mrs. H., Harry + Dimp, Hank and Mary the cook [were there].

Bud was up to work [on] his house.

Bud’s kid rode Target this afternoon.
