Fair + Cool
After dinner Walder, Pic, Eleanor, + I rode up to Boston. We parked the car by North Station and took the subway to Jordan’s basement. Pic + Eleanor did a little shopping.
Then we went over Durgin’s + met Dot and Dave.
Then we went up and got supper, after which we went over to So. Station and watched the movies till 7:45, then we all went back to No. Station and went into the Garden to watch the B.A.A. games.
And there was some wonderful races. The two mile was by far the best race of the evening.
It was a great race between the Belgian and the Swede, each passed the other several times with [the] Swede finally winning by a few yards.
We stopped at a Howard Johnson’s on the way home and got home at 1:45 A.M.
Bill Whiting was up for a few minutes after dinner.
