39th day- 326 days follow

Fair + Warm

Raked all day.

This morning a man came over to where I was working and said he was stuck on the front drive.  I got a bucket of sand and helped him get out.

He gave me a cigar.

About four o’clock Lottie Whiting came down to my tool shed and she said Bill was stuck on the frog drive.  Doughnut Meyer + his wife was with him.

We had quite a job getting to the top of the hill.  I had to make three trips for sand to put on the ice, but we finally got out.

Andrew Dietlin, Dick Bent and Clarence Murphy came up for  a couple of hours tonight to plan the M.A.S. supper.
