72nd day- 293 days follow

Fair + Cold

Cleaned up the yard this A.M.  Had Johnnie Davis take it to the dump. $6.00

After dinner Thel gave me a ride up to the Browne site and I dug out a shell pit about three feet deep and the same across at the bottom on the east side.  At the bottom I found a nice two hole banner stone and what I think is the mano that goes to the matate I dug up last fall.

There was a lot of deer leg bones, antler spikes, sea clams, shore clams, thumb nail clams, mussels and rasor fish shells.

Mr. Griffin came over while I was there.  His red setter had distemper.

Bill Whiting was up here this morning.

I see that the state engineers have stakes across the river where the new road is going to cross.
