116th day- 249 days follow
Fair, Windy Shower, Warmer
Transplanted most all day.
Carl Bolt was up on the [hill] this A.M. He had just come from the Dr’s. He had his feet bandaged up for fallen arches. He has a cold that settled in his eyes and is feeling rather miserable.
I stopped in to see Pic and the boys. Pic said that she feels sure that Howard will get the Old Homestead down at the Ellisville Marshes.
From what Pic tells me the estate is going at a bargain.
Mary the cook called me up this morning and said Mrs. H. had got home from Florida and gone down to Bud’s and that Mr. H. was going to be back in Boston Friday.
I saw a five foot black snake in the path near the dump. It was quite tame, barely got off the path so I wouldn’t step on him.
