153rd day- 212 days follow

Fair + Warm

Chopped down some trees in front of the house and the big poplar by the barn.

I rode over to town with Arthur to [deliver] a load of fireplace wood down to the Plymouth Plantation House.

Went up to the Town House and paid my water tax.

After supper I went over to Eel River Bridge to fish, didn’t get anything from the bridge so I tried Harry Hadaway’s wharf and caught two large shiners and a big roach.  Then I went over to Geo. Crowell’s side and fished till dark and caught three more roaches and a small eel.

Eleanor and the kids were down here today.
