184th day- 181 days follow

Fair + Hot

I got up and was fishing on the pond at 4:30 A.M.  Fished all the way around the pond and didn’t get a strike, came back and went to bed.

Fished some during the day and got nothing.

In the afternoon Carlie and his family arrived.  They slept on my front porch.

I watched three fellows in a boat casting around the fallen pine in our cove.  One fellow got one bass and another got two, one a four pounder.

Then I went back to the point and did some casting and I got a strike and brought the bass up so I could almost net it, and I have never seen such a big one before.  I feel sure it would weight six pounds or more.
