302nd day- 63 days follow

Fair + Warm

Saw Mr. H. this A.M.  He wants me to go down to M.V. with Geo. Crowell.

I went over to the site with Harry.  We got Karl and the three of us went down to the first house and met Dr. Morrison and a group of history students from Harvard.

From the first house we went up to the top of Coles Hill, Burial Hill, and down to the Sparrow House, where we had a small dinner of fish chowder, apple pie, and ice cream.

Then we went to the Harlow + Howland houses, then we came back to the site.  Bill Whiting came over.  He gave me a ride home.

Harry + Carl called for me at 8 P.M. and we went over to the Rock House to a meeting of the Plymouth Plantation officers.  The meeting [was] at the Harlow House.  They had a divining rod and they all were trying it.  I was the last one to try and the rod tipped down so hard that it broke.
