Showers Warm
Jubbie and I burned brush all day across from the cutting garden.
Geo. Crowell came by at 4 P.M. to see if I would be ready to go with him tomorrow.
Jubbie went to dinner early. I tended the fire while he was at dinner.
Karl came over at noon as his diggers didn’t work. He spent the afternoon in the barn washing specimens and taking notes.
When Jubbie and I were going home I saw a woodcock near the foot of the drive.
We rode up H.H. driveway and I got my 410 and went back down the drive.
The woodcock was still there and I got it.
A lot of kids were in for a treat tonight, it is Halloween tonight.
