January 30 Saturday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of Franklin D. Roosevelt

Cloudy little east wind fairly warm.

Saw a rabbit up on the hill. Put out some feed for the birds. Saw the stray cat again.

Thelma was two hours late in getting home tonight. The bus got stuck on the way up to Hanover.

This snow is more than a foot on the level.

Percy came over and played a couple of games of crib.

Thelma & Eleanor and Ski went over to Vicks to spend the evening. She and Walder went bowling.

They have a good idea up at the store. They have a very neat pigeon hole cabinet with a hold for each of the boys that went from here and in them are letters that the boys had written home. They are for the customers to read and answer if they wish to.

Started in snowing again this even-ing.
