February 3 Wednesday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of ___________

Fair and warm.

I went up on the hill the long way around and saw Charlie McCanby and Arthur Circo.

Went rabbit hunting with snowshoes on. Got one rabbit with the 410.

Took a snowshoe hike down on the beach as far as the sentry box. Saw two hen pheasants at the Beach Club. Four black ducks in the pool and three in the river. Saw a trail in the snow and followed it up about twenty yards and found a dead coot.

Went over to the Armory to drill tonight. Avery has been put in the first platoon.

I rode over with Thelma, Dot, Madalane and Mrs. Fraser.

And walked home, had to walk in the road no sidewalks plowed out.

I stopped in to see Vic.
