March 25 Thursday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of ___________

Fair and warmer, wind west.

Redo came up this morning and we took up some more of the sun porch floor.

Bill came up at 1 pm and I smelled something burning. I ran down cellar and found the circulating pump motor was on fire.

Finally figured out a way to use one hot water pipe, when we fired that up and turned the water into the good pipe only to find that leaked too, so we had to take up more floor and found the leak, and soldered it.

When we got that done, we found the kitchen sink drain was stopped up.

Wrote to Dave and Bobbie tonight. Two swell boys.
