April 23 Friday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of

Fair, warm wind So-East.

This morning there was a white frost.

Mrs. Hornblower went clamming up at the hotel and got most a bucket of clams and two buckets of mussels.

Saw my first butterfly of the season, a medium sized black one.

Found a good arrowhead in Eugene Finney’s cottage drive. [If you take a look at the image, you’ll see a tiny arrowhead drawn next to this sentence.]

Stopped in to see Eric tonight.

Helen Finney was in here tonight.

Eleanor, Ski, Helen Finney, and I went to the pictures tonight. Thelma, Cozette, Fanny Holmes and Mandy Hathaway went up to Boston to get Maralyn’s graduation dress.
