Fair and warm wind No.
Freddie worked today.
Found a chickadee nest in the clothes yard, and a redstarts nest in Martha’s apple tree.
Stopped in to see Eric and Pic. Eric’s mouth was all bruised.
Thel, Ski, and I went to the pictures tonight, and we walked home.
The picture was “There will Always be an England” and the African Desert Victory.
Too hot to work in the garden, hope it is cooler Sunday.
Tent caterpillars are not as thick this year as they have been in the past.
Thel and Ski saw Martha in the movies.
“Good counsel has no price.” Mazzini
This was the song they played in the movie By the same name. “There will always be an England”. It was written before the war (1938) but used as a rallying song during the war. Vera Lynn was a famous singer at that time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qhLPWcm-0w
