July 2 Friday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of

Fair and cool, wind East.

Thel and a bunch of women went down to the camp to spend the day.

Nobody home when I got home at noon. Worked in the garden till 2 p.m. Took a walk over to see Pic and Walder for a few minutes, took a look at his garden, a woodchuck has been eating his beans. We looked around and found his hole. Walder will put a gas rag in it and fill it up.

Thel got home from the pond, she said the gang liked it down at the camp.

Saw Clair on the way home and she showed me over her cottage. She is quite proud of it.

Ski went to the beach with Eric and Pic.

I love “a bunch of women”
