September 2 Thursday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of

Showers and cool wind N.E.

Took down a large pine tree in the grove.

On my way home from work I stopped at Genie Finney’s cottage to show Howard Engstrom’s kids how to hunt for Indian arrowheads. For a couple of such young children, they sure are smart.

Chet said he will make an appointment to see a doctor Saturday to be examined.

I have been watching Percy Finney’s skylight all of this summer. In June I saw one of the three panels of glass had started to slip down the roof, now it has disappeared, the second one almost out and the third one out about six inches.

Hope I can catch some fish over the weekend.
