November 23 Tuesday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of

North easterly rainstorm, cold.

Carl came up on the hill this am. He said he saw Don Vintona a couple of months ago “nuff said.”

Wrote a letter to Harry Hornblower and one to Bobbie and one to Kingsbury Brown.

Stopped in to see Pic and Eric, they are fine.

Thel and Ski were delivering Thanksgiving turkeys to the store customers.

The news reports say that there is two feet of snow in New Ham.

Still storming hard.

  1. In 1920s Don Vinton was a famous golf pro. In the ’30’s he was slipping from first to 3rd and 4th. place and he became the golf pro at Plymouth Country Club and was there for many years.
I don’t know the reason for sarcasm unless Harry H. was his sponsor and he failed to respect him. Harry was a big supporter of the Country Club and may have gotten him the job. (just a guess)
