297th day- 68 days follow

Fair and warmer, fine day.

Mary Foley was on the hill today.

Mrs. H. had good luck yesterday.  She shot 3 woodcocks, one grouse, and one cock pheasant.

There was a lot of flickers up on the hill and a red squirrel.

Mrs. H. didn’t go hunting today.

Saw a large flock of some kind of ducks flying south, and two lone geese yesterday.

Bill came up tonight and he had a large notched rather crude blade.  He thinks it is an axe, but I think it might well be a so called hoe blade.

He also had two white quartz arrow points and a scraper.  He got this stuff up at West’s saw mill.
