“Archie’s fire”

Cleared off fair.
When we woke up this A.M. Dot Fraser knocked on the wall and said Archie’s house was on fire. I looked out of the window and the house was one cloud of smoke.
We all ran over and got out the furniture and everything else we could grab. The house is a complete loss.
I went up on the hill to check up, stopped in at Pick’s and told her the story.
After dinner I went over with Archie and we brought here the stuff that might freeze.
Dr. Eastwood came to see Cozette.
Got a check from Fuller Hammond on back dividends for $56.00.
The Hathaway family are all over here for the time being.
