71st day- 294 days follow

Fair and warmer.

Took a ride up to Fred Enos’s plowed land and looked it over, found only a few flakes.  When I got back to the store I turned in at the paint shop and rode right into a grass fire.  Young Bramhall set it to burn grass and it got away from him.

Listened to the President’s speech at noon.  It was a very serious statement.

Chopped down the big birch tree in the grove. It died last summer.

Jubbie worked this afternoon.

Tried out the little bow I made and it shoots fine.
