30th day- 336 days follow

( Mahatma Gandhi)

Fair + Cold

Terrible cold again today. Did snow today.

Saw the ducks and crows again.

Jubbie took Thel’s car over to be checked up, as she wants to go up to the Sportsman’s show.

Stopped in to see Pic and the boys on the way home from work.

Ski told Thel that she heard that Bill has had another of his attacks, the worst one yet.

Mrs. H. called up and say they want to be down for the next two or three weeks or so.

Pic and the boys are feeling fine.

Mrs. H. said Martha is to have her coming out party on June 18 at the Brookline Country Club.

Mahatma Gandhi was shot to death today in India.

  1. I am liking this site very much. I am the daughter of Howard Engstrom, Walder’s brother, and remember Mr. Brewer from my early childhood. I was impressed with him then and that impression grows as I read his journal.

    Thank you Andi and Anne.

  2. Thank you, Stina! This has been such a great project, and I’m getting to know my grandfather so much better, as an adult.
