129th day- 237 days follow

Arrowheads, Metate

Fair. Cool

Mowed the bowling green and planted some more flower seeds.

Saw the Marsh hawk hunting up around the hill.  It certainly is a handsome bird.

Did a little shooting today.

After dinner Thel took me up to the Browne dig.

I had good luck today.  I found a prize artifact.  It is an oval mill for grinding meal.  It is 16 inches long and 9 inches wide, of granite, one edge is 3 inches thick, pecked round and smooth, the opposite 1 ½ inches thick.  It is concave on both sides and polished smooth.  It is a rare specimen, and also in A1 shape.

I got 2 pieces of soapstone, one piece of large very hard plumbage with two rubbed surfaces, one swell large beveled grooving hammer stone, one small fine black triangular point, and over a dozen broken pieces.

There was a white cat with a yellow and grey rump and tail kept me company all the time I was digging.

When I got home with Thel, she came to get me, I called up Bill.

So he and Lottie came up to see the new find.

Thel went over to town for Ski and Bud.
