156th day- 210 days follow

(Victoria has a Daughter)

Partly Cloudy + Warmer

Mr. Delano was up on the hill this morning.  He took the weather vane off the barn.

Mowed with the scythe and weeded flower beds today.

Jubbie worked this afternoon.

Thel picked me up at the foot of the drive tonight.  Eleanor + the girls were with her.

Walder called up at 5:30  and said that they just called him from the hospital a few minutes ago.

Thel, Cozette, Archie, and I and Roger took a ride down to the camp after supper.

Archie and I went fishing off our point and I caught three good sized red perch and one 15 in. pickerel.  We got an ice cream at Gellar’s on the way home.

**Victoria’s daughter, born on this date, is Anne Verre, who patiently transcribes all these journal entries – Happy Birthday, Mom!**

  1. Happy birthday Anne Verre !! Thank you for sharing this wonderful account of your family and life in Plymouth. I look forward to the email and reading it every day ! It reminds me of “ The Waltons “ one of my favorite TV shows.
