Jubbie smashed up his car yesterday.
This morning I went over to the site. Mr. H, Mrs. H. and Bud came over to see what we were doing, so did Mr. Patenaude and Arthur Pyle.
After dinner I went up and fixed up a place for Bud’s dog. I don’t know how long it is going to be on the hill.
Then I went over to the dig and just before dark we got down to the original clay floor on which we found charcoal and ash, showing that the building originally burned down.
We just began to really find some material when we reached the floor just before dark.
Bill Whiting came over awhile this afternoon, but he got froze out.
May called up tonight and said she had heard from Gertie’s husband and he said Mrs. Bellarby died a week ago Thursday.
