[This out-of-order entry is for Ski’s son, Larry Smith, who’s been anxiously waiting for five years to see the record of his birth!]

Such a cold N.W. wind today that we couldn’t work out of doors.

Tom and Arthur have carted off most of our woodpile in back of the barn.

Ski went up to the hospital about 8 A.M. this morning.  Nothing happened till 7:15 P.M. and then she had a son.

Walder and I took a ride up to Boston Garden to see the Irishman and Wilt run the two mile race.  There were five starters and four of them finished under [in] under 9 minutes.  The Irish boy won by about a foot.

We got home at 1 AM.
