Jubbie and I picked crab grass out of the pool grass and put top dressing on the horseshoe green.

I brought home the scythe and mowed some of the tall grass and weeds around the house.

Had a chat with Charlie Fraser over the fence after dark.

The starlings have started to flock up, and fly over here about sunset, as they do every summer.

I saw a nice fat woodcock by my squash bed.

Mrs. H. and Priscilla went down to the Dennis Playhouse this afternoon.
