Saw a big snake going into the cutting garden this afternoon.
I gave Ski ten dollars to buy some fill to go around their house.
My father was drowned up in Hoyt’s Pond at 2 P.M. Aug. 24, 1901, forty nine years ago today. I saw him drown and I never got over missing him all my life. He was a wonderful father to me the short time I knew him. No other man I ever met quite came up to him.
