ToDay is the Birthday of ___________
Fair and cold.
I forgot to put down that I got a letter from both of my foster sons, one from Bud who I assume is in Australia, he in a red cross hospital with malaria and jaundice. And one from Harry who is in Washington.
Eb. Swift, Grace, and the boy, and Arthur Cox’s wife and child arrived just as we finished breakfast.
Eb and I took a walk over to Walder’s and we went down the cellar and threw darts. Eb was top man, Walder next, me last.
Vick, Walder and Eric came over here and had supper.
I rode down to town with Eleanor when she took the crowd to the train.
I went up to W.W.Whitings to a meeting of the Archeological Society. We had a very good meeting and it broke up at 11 PM.
Walked home with Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Whiting as far as their home and the rest of the way alone.
The radio said it would be cold tomorrow.
“As a moth gnaws a garment, so doth envy consume a man.” Chrysostom

Eb, Grace, the boy (Kenneth) are Ada Cox’s daughter and son in law. Ada Cox is Jesse’s sister. Arthur Cox is Grace Swift’s brother. His wife was Elenor and daughter Judy.
