April 9 Friday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of

Fair and a little warmer, Wind N.

Saw a sparrow hawk.

Raked up rubbish all day.

Mrs. Hornblower sent me a book on gardening.

Thelma, Ski, and I went up to visit Toot and May tonight. They called up as Millie is up there over the weekend.

There was another forest fire but it must have been small as I couldn’t find anything of it.

Took a walk over to the store after work and got some Geo. Washington tobacco.

Toot says he hopes to get up to the camp for weekends this summer.

“Your little child is your only true democrat.” Mrs. Stowe

  1. Toot and May are my mother and father (Lewis And Alice May Covell,) Millie is Mildred Musick. Alice May and Mildred are Jess’s sisters.
