ToDay is the Birthday of Thel paid me $9.00

Fair and wind east.

Painted furring with creosote this morning.

This afternoon Chet and I worked putting in the border around the cutting garden.

Worked in the garden a while before supper time.

Percy came over for a few minutes.

Big convoy of ships in the bay.

Ski went to a shower for Eddie Hathaway’s wife.

The African end of the war is finished. We the Allies have taken 175,000 prisoners of war.

Germany is getting a good blasting from the air. Our soldiers attacked the Japs on the Island of Attu Tuesday.

I have onions, peas, radishes, carrots, beets, chard, and beans up in the garden.
