August 25 Wednesday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of

Fair and cooler wind North.

Chet and I worked out back of the barn cleaning up.

Shot an arrow at a red squirrel who was picking a pear off the tree, I missed the squirrel and knicked off the pear.

Elderberries are just getting ripe.

I rode over to the Armory with Eleanor. She, Thel, and Ski went to the movies. We had floor drill all evening in the Armory.

There was a lot of sailors in town tonight.

(I predict that the war will end April 12, 1944 (with Germany))
