ToDay is the Birthday of

Fair and cold, wind East.

Worked this morning digging up some of the bushes around the camp.

Thel and I took a ride down to Bourne and got a paper.

After I got back I cut off a lot of scrub that had grown into the driveway.

Too cold to fish, too cold yesterday.

Couldn’t find my brush scythe, think I must have loaned it to Archie.

A few of the trees have started to turn red.

Charlie Frazer has just turned up in Australia, he has been in Honalulu for over a year.

  1. Hi Andi,

I think that Jesse was looking for his “brush scythe”. I remember some of the old timers using brush scythes in the scrub along side the cranberry bogs back on the Cape where I grew up. As always, I’m really enjoying the journal! Fred Dunford
