December 19 Sunday, 1943

ToDay is the Birthday of

Fair and cool, Wind So.W.

Went to Church with Ski this morning.

Went up on the hill and found the crib and the mattress for the Hornblowers to take back to Boston.

Thel got Earl’s car and she and I took a ride in Earl’s car down as far as Ellisville to see how it was running.

Thel and I stopped in a few minutes at Archies.

Eleanor went over to George’s to dinner.

After dinner, I went up to the Church to the kids’ xmas tree.

Archie was Santa Claus.

Saw a lot of folks there.

Toot sat with me.

Eleanor took the kids carol singing.

“We cannot always oblige, but we can always speak obligingly.” Voltaire
