5th day – 361 days follow

35    Rain

Didn’t go to drill tonight as I am feeling pretty punk with the grippe.

Henry Jordan was buried today, he died Monday.

I have known Henry ever since I was a kid, and have liked and respected him all my life.

Sometimes I would see him two or three times a year, then sometimes not for a couple of years. Whenever we met, I always got a lot of pleasure listening to Henry tell me about his experiences as a young man.

Some of his stories are worth writing down if only to be saved. He was 87 years old and worked right up to this winter.
