12th day – 354 days follow

26    Fair

Thel $10.00

Fair and not too cold, wind West.

Picked some ducks up on the hill this morning.

After dinner I walked to town and got a haircut, paid my water tax, and got a combo hunting and fishing license for 1944.

Made an appointment with Dr. Douglas to fill a tooth tomorrow.

Stopped at the hill on the way home.

Eleanor came to supper, and went back to work.

Edith Finney was taken to the hospital on account of her heart.

Went to town on the bus tonight to go to drill at the armory.

Rode as far as J.B. corner with Avery, as I walked from there I heard a flock of geese in the mouth of the river.
