159th day – 207 days follow

70        Showers

Second day of the invasion.

Gentle showers started at 10 AM and we sure need them.

Took all the morning to rake up leaves and pine needles that flew off in the gale the last few days.

Went to the Armory to drill, went up by the monument and had gas mask drill, and practice skirmishes.

I saw Fred Dreece in front of his home and he brought out a very large pestle and she said he would send it up on one of Finney’s trucks for me tomorrow.

I walked home from the Armory and met Geo Leo at the corner of Bradford St.

Thel went out to a Club supper tonight.
